Sweet Days, Hot Nights Festival 2018 - experience sweet life in the Burdekin

Everything you have come to love about the Burdekin's iconic First Fire and Australian Hand Cane Cutting Championships are being rolled into one this May and June, as part of the inaugural Sweet Days, Hot Nights Festival 2018. Join in on the fun and celebrate the sweet life in the Burdekin. The Festival is family-friendly with food, music, entertainment and free children's activities.

The First Fire kick starts the festival and will be held on the 30 May from 5.30pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to write a fear, concern, memory, secret or anything they like on a piece of paper and put it into the ‘Burning Man’ sculpture which will be set alight as part of the nights festivities.

For your chance to win dinner for two at Swae and Ivy Bar and Restaurant in Ayr ($100 value) and 1 nights’ accommodation for two people, on 2 June 2018 at Alva Beach Tourist Park ($120 value), tell us what you would get rid of if you could burn ANYTHING at the iconic First Fire!
