Our NRL insider Dobbo has spoken personally to Brisbane Broncos coach Wayne Bennett about the contract situation with Origin winger Corey Oates.
Reports are swirling that Oates is being pursued by several Sydney based clubs and the Cowboys for BIG money and the Broncos won't be able to match it.
According to Dobbo, Brisbane will table an official offer to Corey Oates today.
The Bulldogs were being reported in multiple media as the front runner to sign Oates if he were to go south of the border but Dobbo has revealed they are out of the race.
Parramatta, St George and Newcastle, though, are still in the hunt to secure Oates as a forward.
Looks like there is still plenty to play out between now and August 15th.
