Essendon midfielder David Zaharakis has re-committed to the club for another 4 years this afternoon.
The new deal will see the 27-year old remain a Bomber until at least 2021.
Zaharakis said it was an easy decision to re-sign with the club he supported as a child.
“It’s fantastic to get the contract finalised on the eve of what will hopefully be a very exciting finals series for us,” Zaharakis said on the Essendon website.
“Essendon has been such a significant part of my life for a long time. I grew up barracking for the Bombers, and over the past nine years I’ve been able to live my childhood dream.
“We have such a proud history of success, and it’s our job as players to ensure that tradition continues."
Essendon will travel to Sydney next weekend for an Elimination Final at the SCG on Saturday afternoon.
