Officials to use data for improvement

Survey results paint a positive picture for the NDIS

Yesterday was International Day of People with a Disability, and has seen the National Disability Insurance Agency released new stats detailing the help the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is providing to Sunraysia's residents.

The program is benefiting over 120,000 Australian's living with a disability by empowering them to be active contributors to society.

Participants in the NDIS aged over 25 were surveyed; with over 60% have seen improvements in daily living activities as well as social, community and civic participation.

Officials will be using the feedback to help improve the service as it's rolled out across the country.

National Disability Insurance Agency's Marianne Diamond says the latest stats from the NDIS Outcomes framework paint a pretty good picture.
