A massive drug bust in Strathdickie has landed one man in custody. Police attended a property last week finding three cannabis crops estimated to be worth more than a $1M. They had been called out by fire crews to a blaze that had broken out on Laurie Drive Friday afternoon. Police allege they found three large separate crops including more than two hundred and seventy mature plants between 1.6 and 1.8 metres tall. They further allege they also found another 2.5kgs stashed around the property
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services has lost out to Mackay. It was part of a challenge between the two, logging steps, weight and measurement. A stellar performance for a Mackay teenager in Townsville. Rebekah Stanley competed at the National Junior Table Tennis Championships recently. Despite coming second to fifteen year old Parleen Kaur she earned enough merit to be named most outstanding under 18 female player. The eighteen year old will age out of the junior competition after the World Junior Championships in Bendigo in December
