Aussie golfer Jarrod Lyle Goes Into Palliative Care

Australian golfer, Jarrod Lyle, has made the decision to stop active cancer treatment and go into palliative care.

This comes after the 36-year-old was again diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia last year.

His wife, Briony, shared the news in a heartbreaking post on Facebook last night. 

 

"Earlier today Jarrod made the decision to stop active treatment and begin palliative care. 

He has given everything that he’s got to give, and his poor body cannot take anymore.

We’ll be taking him closer to home in the next couple of days so he can finally leave the hospital," Briony wrote.

There has been an outpour of love and support on social media from fellow golfers. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson even tweeted about Lyle, saying:
