Quick Emergency Response to Orange Fire Overnight

Emergency Services are being praised for their quick response, following a shed fire in Orange yesterday.

Fire and Rescue NSW and crews from the Orange Fire Station were called to the scene on Bardia Avenue, around 7pm (3rd December, 2017). The first truck arrived in less than six minutes.

Three fire trucks from Orange, and a hazardous material van from Bathurst attended the blaze, and contained the fire to a double car shed, at the rear of the premises.

No one was injured although, a neighbour was assessed for smoke inhalation by paramedics but didn't require transport to Hospital.

Orange Station Officer Matthew Jeffery, has commended the neighbours, who remained calm and contacted the authorities on 000 straight away.

An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
